 In 2006 at the age of 8, Rachel began her racing career in the Quarter Midget ranks; she quickly found her groove moving up to the more competitive classes and also earning the nickname Rocket Rachel Marks in the Quarter Midget racing world.

In 2008, she won the Tri-City Senior Honda Championship and was also voted Female Driver of the Year.  In the 2009 Summer Shootout Series at Lowes Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina, Rocket Rachel turned heads in her INEX Bandolero by winning a rookie division feature in her first race and she was also crowned the 2009 Region 4 Senior Honda Champion.  Securing the Tri-City Heavy Honda Championship in 2010 and also being voted Female Driver of the Year for a second time, this young lady decided to go fast and get dirty in 2011, entering the Dirt Grand Nationals at Christian County Quarter Midget track in Taylorville, Illinois, where she was an alternate for the A-Main event.  Rachel holds multiple track records throughout Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and North Carolina and over 100 podium finishes so far in her career.In 2012 Marks will begin testing in a crate Late Model and Legends car and competing in select races throughout the season.
